Frequently Asked Questions

  • Covid Secure Workplace

I have put in place all the necessary steps to keep both you and I safe, based on government advice and the Association of Reflexologists' COVID-19 secure workplace policy, and feel comfortable and confident to continue treating.

Things will be a little different for now, but what won't change is the quality of the treatment you will receive from me and the benefits you will feel afterwards.  So, what can you expect when you visit me for a treatment:

    • You will need to complete a risk assessment form before each treatment.
    • All equipment, chairs, etc. will be thoroughly cleaned between clients.
    • Clean linen and towels will be provided (as always).
    • I will be wearing a surgical grade face mask. Please bring and wear your own mask, if possible.
    • I will open and close doors so no need for you to touch door handles.
    • You will be asked to wash your hands thoroughly before entering the treatment room.

Please bring your own bottle of water as I am unable to provide this at the moment. Remember that drinking plenty of fluids after treatment helps flush out the toxins and improve energy levels.

Treatment duration

How long will each session last?

Each treatment session lasts approximately 1 hour for reflexology and 45 minutes for Indian head massage, however the first session with each client can take a little longer as it will include a full consultation and creation of your treatment plan.

Feet and shoes

What should I do before a treatment?

You do not need to prepare for the treatment, however for reflexology you will need to remove your shoes and socks so just think about what you are wearing!  If you would like to remain fully clothed for an Indian head massage then a light weight top should be worn.

Feet and shoes

What can I expect during a treatment?

My treatment room contains purpose designed chairs suitable for the treatment you are having, ensuring that you are comfortable and relaxed throughout.  I also make use of calming music and video adding to the experience by creating a sense of tranquillity.

For reflexology you will need to remove your shoes and socks for the duration of the session, and with Indian head massage you have the option of remaining fully clothed or removing your top if you would like the use of oils.

Relax

What should I do after treatment?

You should feel calm and relaxed following treatment.  Drink plenty of fluids, rest, avoid alcohol and excessive exercise.  Specific aftercare advise will also be given to you at the end of a session.

Treatment frequency

How often should I have treatments?

The number and frequency of sessions depends on the treatment goals, however most cases benefit initially from the continuity and consistency of weekly treatments for the first few sessions.  Many clients also enjoy the benefits of regular maintenance sessions thereafter.

Payment methods

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept cash, all major cards, contactless including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
